Fortlax cloud services are now taking the next step in development through their establishment in a new brand – Cloudist Solutions. The establishment means an even stronger offer for small and medium-sized IT companies that are looking for new business opportunities in cloud services. The launch of the new brand will take place on October 1st.
In mid-2019, Fortlax Datacenter was acquired by the EcoDataCenter Group, with the aim of forming a leading Nordic provider of data center services. Since 2004, Fortlax has successfully developed and operated a portal service within which customers can easily create, manage, and tailor their own cloud services. The portal service and all related cloud services are operated under the Cloudist Solutions brand, while colocation services are managed by EcoDataCenter.
”In a time when demand is higher than ever for different types of cloud services, we separate these services from the data center offer, so that the two parts get the focus they deserve. This investment means that they in turn can present a very strong offer to their own customers ", says Lars Schedin, CEO of EcoDataCenter.
Cloudist Solutions will focus on strengthening the offering for small and medium-sized IT companies through services and solutions that are optimized for that type of customer, which is something that the really big players do not do.
”We know that there are many IT companies out there that spend a lot of time building their own cloud services, which means large development and management costs. With us, you can instead focus on creating new business based on a smart, easy-to-use, and cost-effective platform. The flexibility of the system makes it easy to add and remove services based on customer needs and everything can be managed via a single terminal”, says Jasenko Masic, Business Unit Manager at Cloudist Solutions.
All cloud services are delivered and managed from EcoDataCenter's facilities in Falun and Piteå. The facilities are in security class 3, the highest security rating a civilian building can have in Sweden.
“Given the increased awareness in security, not least IT-related security, it is important for us that all data is guaranteed to be stored in the safest and most environmentally friendly data centers that exist, located in Sweden. I am incredibly happy for this change, which gives us a large degree of the refinement and focus we need to be able to continue to develop our customer offering for a long time to come,” Jasenko concludes.
